At OMLpatches.com, we get this question quite often - how are we able to produce custom made patches so quickly?
As you know by now, we do not have stock patches at our site. We don't keep any patches in stock. How does that benefit you? Thats easy - each patch that you order we custom make for you - thats how you have full customization available to you - change some lettering on custom patches, change thread colors and you can even change the merrowed edge, too.
We can produce our patches in a few days and have them ready to ship, as quick as ordering an "off the shelf patch" from some other companies! How do we do that? We have it all down pat after more than 10 years making patches.
We start with organizing the orders and make a stitch list of all of the patches in the orders - we usually do this early in the morning or late the night before. We organize the orders into groups of camo backgrounds - we call this a stitch list. Our stitch list makes the whole day run very smooth.
Next we do the set up - its very time consuming, but its where we create your patches and get the designs ready for the machines. On the set up is where we add custom lettering, change the thread colors and make any other size changes that you require. This usually takes a few hours to complete.
Stitching - thats a big job for our workhorse embroidery machines - they stitch out all of the patches on the right camo backgrounds.
Cutting- this is a big job - each patch has to be cut out.
Velcro - another big job - each patch has to have velcro cut out to perfectly match the size of the patch.
We are excellent at the last two steps with 10 years experience in cutting and velcroing patches. Awesome OML.
After we do all that, the patches are ready for merrowing. Merrowing is the thick outside edge of each and every patch and some of the nametapes. Its definitely a skill to be able to run the merrow machine. It takes years of practice to get good at doing the border.
Shipping: all of your high quality patches get shipped out to you!

Quality control takes place through each and every step of our production at OMLpatches.com. Each person or department that sees the patches is required to perform a quality control on each patch - to make sure that the writing is clear, the threads are all in place and everything looks perfect.

Enjoy your patches for years to come!
